Setting up Smart IPTV on your device

If your television was made in the last few years, you almost certainly do not need to buy anything. Samsung and LG sets install a player from their own app store; Android TV pulls one from Google Play. The guides below cover those routes first, then the streaming sticks and computers, and none of them take longer than about five minutes.

Quick Start

The shape of it, whatever you own

Every device follows the same three moves. Read this once and the device-specific guide below will make sense immediately.

1

Subscribe

Order a plan from the pricing page, or ask for the free 24-hour trial if you would rather test first. Either way the login details reach you by email within a few minutes.

2

Install Player

Install a player. We are not the player — we are the service it connects to — so use whichever of IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate or OTT Navigator suits your device best.

3

Start Streaming

Open the player and type in the Xtream Codes login, or paste the M3U link, exactly as it appears in the welcome email. The list loads and the TV remembers it from then on.

Device Guides

Pick your device

Find what you own below. If your set is older than about 2016 and will not install apps, skip to the Firestick section — a £30 stick turns any TV with an HDMI socket into a capable one.

🔥

Amazon Firestick

The usual fallback when a television is too old to install apps of its own. Works on every Fire TV Stick generation and the Fire TV Cube; you will need to allow apps from unknown sources first.

  1. Open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and switch on Apps from Unknown Sources. Amazon hides this by design; you are allowing yourself to install software Amazon did not sell you.
  2. From the Amazon App Store, install Downloader. It is the standard way of getting an APK onto a Fire device.
  3. In Downloader, type the address of the IPTV Smarters Pro APK and let it fetch the file.
  4. Install it when prompted, then open it.
  5. Choose Xtream Codes API as the login type and copy in the server address, username and password from your welcome email.
  6. Give it a moment to pull the channel list and the guide, then start watching.

Recommended Player: IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate

Android TV & Phone

The smoothest route of the lot, because the player comes from Google Play with no sideloading. Covers Android TV sets, the Nvidia Shield, Google TV Chromecasts, phones and tablets.

  1. Open the Google Play Store on the TV, box or phone. Nothing needs sideloading on Android, which is why this is the easiest route of the lot.
  2. Search for TiviMate if you care about the programme guide, or IPTV Smarters Pro if you want the simpler interface.
  3. Install it and open it.
  4. Pick the Xtream Codes login rather than the playlist option.
  5. Enter the server address, username and password exactly as they appear in your welcome email.
  6. The channel list populates and the device remembers it from now on.

Recommended Player: TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro

🍎

iPhone & iPad (iOS)

Useful for watching in another room or away from home. Any iPhone or iPad on iOS 14 or newer will do; the App Store carries several players that accept our login.

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Search for IPTV Smarters Player or GSE Smart IPTV — either handles our login format.
  3. Install it and open it.
  4. Select Xtream Codes API when it asks how you want to sign in.
  5. Type in the server address, username and password from your welcome email.
  6. That is it — useful for watching in bed, in the kitchen, or on hotel Wi-Fi.

Recommended Player: IPTV Smarters Player or GSE IPTV

📺

Smart TV (Samsung/LG)

The route this site is built around. Samsung's Tizen store and LG's webOS store both carry IPTV players, so the television needs nothing plugged into it — download, sign in, done.

  1. Open your television's own app store — the Galaxy Store on a Samsung, the LG Content Store on an LG. Nothing is plugged into the TV at any point.
  2. Search for IPTV Smarters Pro. On older Samsung and LG sets the SIPTV player is the more reliable choice.
  3. Install it and launch it.
  4. Enter the Xtream Codes login from your welcome email, or paste the M3U link if the player asks for a playlist instead.
  5. Wait while the list and the guide download — the first load is the slow one, after that it is instant.

Recommended player: IPTV Smarters Pro, or the SIPTV player on older Samsung and LG sets

💻

Windows & Mac

Handy for testing a login quickly, or for watching at a desk. Windows 10 and 11 and macOS Catalina onwards are all fine.

  1. Download VLC from videolan.org. It is free and it is the quickest way to prove a login works.
  2. Open Media → Open Network Stream.
  3. Paste the M3U link from your welcome email into the box.
  4. Press Play and give it a few seconds to read the list.
  5. For something closer to a real TV interface on a PC, MyIPTV Player is the better long-term option.

Recommended Player: VLC Player or MyIPTV Player

MAG Box

If you already own an Infomir MAG box there is nothing to install — send us the MAC address and we load the portal at our end. Covers MAG 250 through to the 424.

  1. Plug the MAG box into your network and power it on.
  2. Go to Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals.
  3. Enter the portal address we send you. On MAG boxes there is no username or password — the box is identified by its MAC address, so send us that when you order.
  4. Save, then restart the box from the menu rather than pulling the plug.
  5. The channel list loads by itself once it comes back up.

Setup Type: Portal URL (provided in welcome email)

If it will not play

Most failed setups come down to one of three things: a typo in the username, the wrong port on the server address, or a router blocking the connection. Send us a photo of what is on the screen and we will usually spot it on the first reply.
